„Dziękuję, Dobrze” (transl. Thank You, Fine) is a compilation of eight songs – written, sang and played by one person – Wojtek Traczyk. Guitar, double bass, synthesizer and percussion sampler were recorded in his tiny loft space in Bielany, on a four-track analog cassette recorder.
This is his second album after Free Solo, which was released in 2012, but this time, Traczyk presents recordings that are far from his instrumental debut. This time the avant-garde double bass player is sharing his passion for song writing, however, in this new project he retains his same old uncompromising and consistent attitude towards searching forms of musical self-expression.
Pieces of music vary. Some are with vocals accompanied only by an acoustic guitar, while other are instrumentally more complex lo-fi pieces you want to dance to. Sometimes they are none of the aforementioned, creating their own uniqueness on the journey to some other place… and it seems to be of no importance which, because what matters is that they smuggle tasteful and original arrangements, which combined with wise and intimate lyrics, create a powerful and very personal transmission.
